AMK Hub Hair Salons, Nails & Massage (2026)

Half of Ang Mo Kio seems to pass through AMK Hub on any given evening, and a good number of them are there for a haircut. The mall sits right on top of Ang Mo Kio MRT and the bus interchange, so a trim, a gel refresh or a massage slots neatly between groceries and dinner. The honest one-liner: AMK Hub is an everyday, value-first beauty stop where hair is the main event, nails and massage follow close behind, and the only real skill you need is choosing carefully when a package comes up.

AMK Hub hair salon guide: what the hair floor looks like

Hair is what AMK Hub does best. Of the 20-plus beauty businesses we track in the mall, eight are hair salons and one is a barber, more than any other category. The mix covers every budget: express-cut chains for a ten-minute trim, scalp and hair-loss centres, and neighbourhood salons doing haircuts, colour, perms and kids’ cuts for the whole family.

What we noticed reading the reviews: the salons people stay loyal to here are the ones that explain what they are doing and leave the packages alone. Several regulars at the salon we feature below have kept the same stylist for years. That is the heartland way, and it is worth looking for.

On price, AMK Hub sits below town. Singapore salons usually start a cut at S$40 to S$70 and colour at S$70 to S$120, and the express-cut chains here come in well under that. Our haircut price guide shows what a fair quote looks like.

Getting there

AMK Hub is at 53 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 in the North, directly connected to Ang Mo Kio MRT (North-South line, NS16) and the bus interchange. It is a large mall with very high footfall, and most visitors are locals on their regular rounds rather than day-trippers. That makes it one of the easiest heartland malls to reach without a car.

Finding your way around

Beauty here is spread across four levels: the two basements (B1 and B2) and levels 2 and 3. Hair salons, nail bars and spas mix on every floor, so check the unit before you go rather than wandering the whole mall. Booking ahead through Glamingo saves you the hunt, because the listing shows you where to go.

Nails: chains, trials and breathable polish

AMK Hub has four nail chains, which keeps prices honest. Gel manicures typically run about S$30 to S$50, and the published menus we track across Ang Mo Kio start a basic manicure at around S$30 to S$35. First-trial promotions are common, and at least one chain here offers breathable, halal-friendly polish, worth knowing if that matters to you.

Before you commit, read on to the note on packages below. Want the full price picture first? Our gel nail price guide breaks it down.

Massage and body work

Five spas and wellness spots round out the mall, from body massage and lymphatic drainage to TCM-style body therapies and a foot reflexology stop. We do not have enough AMK Hub menus to quote a local massage price yet, but across Singapore a 60-minute massage usually costs S$70 to S$120. Many spas here lead with a first-visit price, so ask what the usual rate is too.

Facials, the short version

Yes, you can get a facial at AMK Hub, and Korean express facials start from around S$28, which suits a quick lunchtime glow. Ang Mo Kio as a whole has a deep facial scene, though, much of it in the HDB blocks outside the mall. We have covered it properly in facials in Ang Mo Kio and our best facial in Ang Mo Kio shortlist, so start there if skin is your main mission.

Who actually goes here

Ang Mo Kio families, students and residents aged roughly 20 to 55 on their weekly rounds. It is not a splurge mall. People come for good-value everyday upkeep, often bringing the kids for a cut at the same time, and expect the popular salons to get busy at weekends.

A quick word on packages

This is the one thing to watch at AMK Hub. When we went through the reviews of every salon here, several had repeat complaints about pressure to buy prepaid packages. That is exactly why our shortlist below is short: we left those salons out. If a package does come up, it is fine to say no, pay per visit and take time to decide. The Consumers Association of Singapore has sensible advice on prepaid packages if you want a second opinion.

Salons worth knowing at AMK Hub

A short list, on purpose. We started with every AMK Hub salon we have researched, then left out any with a pattern of hard-selling or service complaints in their reviews, and any we have not looked at closely enough yet. Three made it. Where a chain’s outlet here has no rating on record, we show none rather than borrow another branch’s.
