Alangkaara Aesthetics
A long-running neighbourhood salon for threading and waxing that also sells a light-based hair-removal treatment as a course of sessions. Facials, natural henna and herbal hair colour, and hot-oil head massages are on the menu too. It's beautician-led with nothing medical, so look elsewhere for injectables.
Come here if
- You want brows threaded to exactly the shape you ask for
- You're nervous about your first wax
- You're starting a hair-removal course and want an honest session count
Maybe not if
- You're looking for injectables or a doctor-led treatment

What guests come here for
What people say
Gentle enough to doze off
Threading and waxing hurt very little, and the therapist keeps asking how the pain is while she works.
People who tear up at threading elsewhere leave dry-eyed, and the facials are slow and soothing enough to drift off in.
Regulars who stayed
Women who first came for their brows as schoolgirls are still booking here.
Others cross the island for the one beautician they trust with their brows.
What changed after a few visits
On the hair-removal course, hair grows back slower and finer early on, even thick, dark hair.
You get what you asked for
Ask for brows super thin, barely touched or matched to a photo, and the therapist checks the shape with you before threading.
Bringing the family
Mothers and daughters book threading and waxing together.
Grown-up children bring their mums for a treatment chosen to suit them.
They explain what they are doing
The therapist walks you through each step of a facial or wax, and on the course she's honest about the number of sessions you'll realistically need.
You also go home with tips for looking after your skin until the next visit.
No hard sell
Tell the therapist you're not keen on a package and she lets it go.

Approximate prices from the salon's published menu, checked October 2026. Prices vary by the treatment, its length and any add-ons, so confirm with the salon before booking. $ to $$$ compares this salon's starting prices with other Singapore salons' published menus for the same treatments: $ is the most affordable quarter, $$$ the priciest. Each menu heading rates its section's lowest full-service price; the price level at the top combines them, so it can sit between the headings.
