Hair & Eyelash Studio Flamingo
All 2 outlets →Hair & Eyelash Studio Flamingo - Chinatown
A Japanese-run salon one floor up in a shophouse, in a bright room done out in flamingos. It's one of two branches; the founder still takes clients here, and a lash studio shares the space. The menu runs to cuts, colour, perms, straightening and scalp treatments, with a stylist's fee on top of the menu price.
Come here if
- You want a stylist who'll be straight about what suits your hair
- Your hair is frizzy, bleached or damaged and needs smoothing
- You'd like a cut that stays easy to manage in the humidity
- You're bringing a small child for a first haircut
Maybe not if
- You want a budget trim, since a stylist's fee is added to menu prices

What people say
Careful, detailed work
Stylists keep checking the cut against the photo you brought, right down to the line of the fringe.
Gentle enough to doze off
At the wash you get a cushion to hug and a cloth over your eyes, and plenty of people nap through the head massage that follows.
You can pick a Japanese tea, and it comes with a chocolate on a little wooden flamingo plate.
Regulars who stayed
Japanese families who've just moved to Singapore make it their first salon and keep coming back.
Mothers and fathers book their kids in with their own stylist.
They explain what they are doing
Your stylist says so when a perm or a big chop won't suit your hair, and suggests what will.
Before you leave, they show you how to dry and style it yourself.
Hair that needs fixing
Frizzy, bleached or box-dyed hair gets the Tokio treatment, and people walk out able to run their fingers through it again.
How long it lasts
Stylists shape cuts to sit well in Singapore's humidity before it needs attention.
No hard sell
Stylists mention a treatment if your hair could use one and then drop it, and nobody pushes the shampoos on the shelf.

Approximate prices from the salon's published menu, checked October 2026. Prices vary by stylist, hair length and products, so confirm with the salon before booking. $ to $$$ compares this salon's starting prices with other Singapore salons' published menus for the same treatments: $ is the most affordable quarter, $$$ the priciest. Each menu heading rates its section's lowest full-service price; the price level at the top combines them, so it can sit between the headings. See their full price list ↗
