SpaJelita
The spa has run for a long time and takes women only. Besides massage and facials it does hair, nails and waxing. Cupping, gua sha and Malay traditional therapies such as sengkak and ganggang are still on the menu.

What people say
Aches and sore muscles
A massage here can finish with a ginger wrap, which keeps a gentle heat on your back as you dress and leave.
Weddings and events
Brides-to-be come for a full bridal day, from massage and facial through a milk bath to hair, with lunch brought in partway.
Some groups book the place for a bridal shower or a spa party.
How comfortable it is
During a massage the therapist checks the pressure with you and changes it until it suits.
A few had a rough facial or hair wash where the therapist never checked whether it hurt.
The room
It's done up in Arabian style, with a steam room, a sauna and a space set aside for prayer.
One or two found the rooms worn and overdue a refresh.
Coming while pregnant
Some mothers stay with one therapist from prenatal massage through to the postnatal confinement treatments after the birth.
