AUGUST Hair Salon
AUGUST traded as Hair Perms before its rebrand, and regulars from those years still book. Ask and they'll put glitter and tinsel strands in your hair. The stylists like to suggest a look, so if your mind is made up, say so early.
Come here if
- You can't picture which cut would suit your face
- You're an expat still looking for someone who gets your hair
Maybe not if
- You'd rather not hear a stylist's ideas about your look

What people say
Your first visit
A first visit opens with a look at your face shape, sometimes with an AI tool that shows you styles to suit it.
Styling it at home
Before you leave, you're taught to style and comb the new cut yourself.
They explain what they are doing
Before mixing a dye, your stylist checks which shades suit your skin tone.
If you come in set on a textured perm, the stylist may steer you to a down perm, or to a repair treatment first.
They'll ask how much time you give your hair each morning, and cut for that.
Gentle enough to doze off
Halfway through a long bleach, it's easy to nod off.
While it works, someone checks every so often that your scalp isn't stinging.
The small extras
Tea, coffee or a warm Milo comes round, with biscuits if the colour runs long.
No hard sell
Stylists mention the cut-and-treatment bundle and leave the choice to you.
Hair that needs fixing
One stylist took years of black box dye that other salons couldn't shift all the way to a soft rose brown.
There's a tofu treatment for hair that frizzes and knots after every wash.
Hair from around the world
Stylists here are used to Indian, Caucasian and Latina hair.

Approximate prices from the salon's published menu, checked October 2026. Prices vary by stylist, hair length and products, so confirm with the salon before booking. $ to $$$ compares this salon's starting prices with other Singapore salons' published menus for the same treatments: $ is the most affordable quarter, $$$ the priciest. Each menu heading rates its section's lowest full-service price; the price level at the top combines them, so it can sit between the headings. See their full price list ↗
