Autelier Makeup
Autelier is a team of makeup artists led by founder Cherry Au, who trains them herself, and wedding guides have listed it since 2016. Each artist does both hair and makeup, mostly for weddings, and comes to your home or hotel on the day. Brides lock in their artist months ahead, and on busy dates the well-known names go first.

What people say
How long it lasts
Makeup started before dawn was still in place by the evening banquet.
It also lasted through outdoor photos in the hot sun.
Calm when you are nervous
On a hectic wedding morning, the artist is often the calmest person in the room, checking in on the bride and telling her not to stress.
Patient, unhurried staff
When a bride ran behind schedule, her artist waited and still fitted the next look into the time left.
Artists arrive before the agreed time and set up their own lights and mirror.
You get what you asked for
Artists worked from the bride's own ideas and adjusted the look after the trial.
When a hairstyle wouldn't hold in someone's hair or suit their face, the artist told them and offered one that would.
Starting with a trial
The trial, weeks before the day, is where brides tried buns and half-up styles until one felt right.
Skipping the trial meant a video call with the artist to go through pictures first.
The small extras
Between looks, artists helped brides into the next gown and pinned dresses that slipped.
You leave with a little touch-up kit, sometimes with a lipstick and a straw in it.
Weddings and events
The same team does the groom, the mothers and a sister on the day.
Outside weddings, they've done makeup for galas, company dinner-and-dances and birthdays.

Common questions
The things people ask before booking
Q How much does bridal makeup cost?
Actual-day packages start from $750 and run to $1,800 for the Extravagance package. A ROM or solemnisation look starts from $450, and event or gala styling from $230. Rates differ by artist, so ask for the rate card of the artist you want.
Q How is my date held?
After you enquire, the studio sends a draft invoice. A 50% deposit by PayNow or bank transfer within three days holds the date, and the balance is due on or before the day.
Q Will the artist come to my home or hotel?
Yes, they do makeup at a location of your choice. An early-morning surcharge or an off-island charge may apply, and overseas weddings are quoted on request.
